Thank you City College students, partners, community members and 31 Division police for joining in the drive-by procession around Hawthorne Place Care Centre this morning

This drive-by was to commemorate the 19 residents that have passed away and the 64 staff members who have since tested positive for Covid-19, at the nursing home.

As a community partner and a private career college in the healthcare field, we feel it’s important to show support and appreciation to the front line workers. City College and the community appreciates the hard work and dedication of all frontline health care workers. We know that they are doing a great job and we want them to know that we are doing our best to keep them safe.

In addition to the drive-by, a number of local restaurants including Caribbean Queen, Tim Hortons Jane/Finch, Montego Jerk, and others are showing their support by providing lunch to the staff in the upcoming weeks.
